Anja began her career in birth work in 1997, as a childbirth educator and labor doula. She took some time off of birth work to raise her own family of four, all of whom are now young adults who mostly take care of themselves and no longer sleep in their parents’ bed.
Taking up her dream of becoming a midwife in 2008, Anja became a Certified Professional Midwife, licensed in Wisconsin in 2010. She began studying the Arvigo(r) Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy in 2013, and she became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2016.

Some of the focus areas are: planning for the birth educating families about care options helping women’s bodies to get back to good function after birth with Arvigo(r) therapy supporting a family’s breastfeeding journey assisting with the transition time after birth
